It's quite similar to the Hill House as perhaps you would expect but it feels more massive and solid lacking perhaps the delicacy of the Hill House.
I don't know anything about this monument except it seems to be dedicated to peace which was ironic as it was assembled in 1938. I say assembled as it incorporates stones mainly from ladies organizations who I presume subscribed to get their stone inscribed and then sent off. I was intrigued by the one from Keighley inscribed "Bronte Stone", given the amount of time I've been in Haworth recently I'd love to know a bit more about it.
The diamond pattern double cloth is off the loom and has been washed but has not been tidied up or pressed. That's the end of my HNC warp, so the end of an era and beginning of a new. I'm pleased and saddened in equal measure, though perhaps I won't miss wool singles in a warp - achievable but not necessarily fun !
