Where did the month go to

I've been busy at work leaving not much time for craft unfortunately. I've spent my evenings searching the Internet for inspiration. I've continued my exploration into jewellery making, I've bought some new tools and last weekend I had a go at copper etching. The house was empty and it was Mother's Day so I indulged myself. I left the copper in the enchant for about 30 mins but I think I'll leave it longer next time for a deeper etch. I just need to work out what I'm going to make them into.

Not much weaving except on the inkle loom, I took it to a friends last weekend as we were having a sewing bee and I managed to weave two bands. My warping up is still a bit suspect, I keep threading the colours up incorrectly but I can see where I went wrong, so better luck next time. Contrast also seems to play a big part, a mauve and a lime green which on the cone seemed miles apart virtually merged into each other in the band. I'm using silk from My Fine Weaving and it's gorgeous though a bit decadent for playing with. I bought it at Woolfest last year and hadn't got round to using it yet.

I've been playing on photoshop and made this picture, I'm enjoying doing things like this at the moment, it's challenging, non messy and I can still keep up a conversation.
