Weaving from Bradford
I'm a bit late posting this, travel home and work prevented me from writing at the time. Here are some photos of my mood board, samples and finished article based on verdigris.

Bradford at Night
I think I've mentioned City Square before, here are a couple of photo's showing the town hall all lit up for Xmas. It's flashing different colours as are the water jets in the pool at the front, it's quite magical.

Back in Bradford
Back in Bradford for a weekend tutorial for the end of Module 5, which explored surface texture, through shrinkage, transparency and sheen. It sounds exciting and it was. It was good to meet up with everyone and catch up; it wasn't just me that had had issues with difficult fibres and recalcitrant warps.

This afternoon we went to Abraham Moon's, better known as just Moon's, a weaving and spinning mill near Guisley. I've taken a few photo's but the short video clip from the website is well worth watching.

they take wool in its raw state, wash, dye and card, then spin weave
and finish, all on the same premises. They have their own brand
but weave also for many famous makers such as Bronte, M&S
and Brook Traverner. We saw how the fabrics have to pass stringent
quality controls and how these are performed. We were all enthralled
by the smell of wool and the clatter and speed of the looms which has
to be seen to be believed.
